GOOD TO KNOW

A few useful answers.

Are my documents sent to a server?

No. The comparison runs inside your browser without an upload or account.

What does ignoring whitespace do?

It ignores leading and trailing whitespace on each line. Meaningful changes inside a line still count.

Why is one changed sentence shown as a removal and an addition?

This compares whole lines. A modified line appears as the old line removed and the new line added.
